Sneaker Authenticator uses artificial intelligence to analyze photographs of sneakers. We make no guarantees, representations, or warranties — express or implied — about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any authenticity verdict, confidence level, identification, value estimate, or other information produced or presented by the service. Results are AI estimates and must not be the sole basis for any purchasing, selling, or trading decision.
2. AI limitations
AI models can make mistakes, misinterpret visual features, or produce inaccurate results (commonly referred to as "hallucinations"). The AI may misidentify the model or colorway, invent a style code, misstate a release year or price, call an authentic pair a replica, call a replica authentic, or describe something that is not in the photo at all. A single photograph cannot show internal construction, size tags, box labels, materials feel, weight, or smell, and lighting, angle, focus, and image quality all affect what the model can see. High-quality replicas may be impossible to distinguish from authentic pairs through images alone.
3. User responsibility
You are solely responsible for how you use the results and any other information on Sneaker Authenticator. Always verify important details independently — with the brand, an authorized retailer, or an established authentication service that offers physical inspection — before relying on them for any decision.
4. Not authentication
An AI verdict is never a certificate of authenticity, a certification, or proof that a pair is genuine or counterfeit. It must not be used for insurance coverage or claims, legal proceedings or disputes, marketplace or resale listings as verified authentication, chargebacks or returns, or any purpose that requires certified or official authentication. Use a qualified third-party authenticator for anything you plan to buy, sell, insure, or dispute.
5. Not professional advice or appraisal
Nothing produced or presented by Sneaker Authenticator constitutes a professional appraisal, valuation, authentication, investment, tax, or legal advice. Retail prices and market values are AI-generated approximations for general guidance only. Actual prices depend on authenticity, condition, size, provenance, and market demand, and can change quickly.
6. User-provided information
Results may rely on photographs and notes submitted by users. We do not verify user-provided information, and results that depend on it may be affected by its accuracy.
7. Community content
Public checks shared to the community feed, and shown on tag and search pages, are AI-generated identifications submitted by other users. They carry the same limitations described here and have not been reviewed by experts. Authenticity verdicts and their supporting evidence are shown only to the person who ran the check and are not part of community or public pages.
8. Trademarks
Sneaker Authenticator is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nike, Jordan Brand, adidas, New Balance, or any other footwear brand, manufacturer, or marketplace. Brand, model, and colorway names are used only to describe the sneakers being identified and belong to their respective owners.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sneaker Authenticator and its affiliates will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on AI-generated verdicts, identifications, or value estimates, or on any other content presented by the service — including financial loss from buying a counterfeit pair, lost profit from selling an authentic pair as a replica, over-payment or under-sale, and any indirect, special, or consequential loss.
10. Changes to this disclaimer
Sneaker markets, manufacturing techniques, and replica quality evolve rapidly, and we may update this disclaimer from time to time.
